Amanda Cuthbert Psychotherapist

About me

I am an individual and couple psychoanalytic psychotherapist.  I have a special interest in brief-term Mentalising therapies for couples and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy for individuals.  I also offer medium and longer-term work within my private practice and for the National Health Service.

In 2007, after five years of study at the Metanoia Institute in London, I completed my Masters level training in Integrative Psychotherapy and became a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist.  At that time I worked in the Kent area in private practice and with young people and adults in settings concerned with family difficulties, domestic violence, bereavement and trauma.

In 2009 I began a Master’s level training in couple psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships (TCCR) that was completed in 2013 when I became a BPC registered Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist.  I am now a Visiting Clinician at TCCR in London and my private practice and NHS work is in Devon.
